An AI-Powered English Proficiency Platform

Building the English language proficiency platform institutions have been missing.

Oressey is a comprehensive AI-powered English proficiency platform built for non-native learners and the educators who teach them. Combining intelligent assessment, personalised learning, and continuous CEFR-aligned measurement, Oressey enables schools to deliver and demonstrate measurable improvements in English proficiency.

Designed around the realities of institutional classrooms worldwide, Oressey transforms AI into an indispensable teaching partner that helps every learner progress with confidence and every institution prove learning outcomes. The platform shapes itself to each national curriculum it serves, absorbing local syllabi, assessment frameworks, and content so that it works within any education system it enters. Oressey’s content is created and validated by qualified English teaching experts, ensuring that every lesson is pedagogically sound, culturally relevant, and aligned to local curriculum requirements and standards, while maintaining globally recognised CEFR benchmarks.

A Note from Oressey

English, the way the world actually learns it.

A note from the founders, on what we are building and why.

English language proficiency is no longer a soft outcome of education. For the very large majority of the world's English learners (those growing up in countries where English is not the mother tongue), it is a measurable national capability that shapes how a generation participates in higher learning, in the workforce, and in the opportunities a globally connected world unlocks.

Yet despite that strategic weight, there is no platform built specifically around the institutional realities of how English is actually taught and learned by these students: those for whom English is effectively a second language acquired largely within the English classroom itself. Existing solutions are retrofitted from elsewhere: pedagogically misaligned, contextually distant, and indifferent to the operating cadence of real classrooms and the standards real institutions hold.

Oressey is being built to close that gap. A comprehensive AI-powered platform engineered to develop the full spectrum of English language proficiency for the non-native learner, and engineered just as deliberately around the teacher: not to replace the classroom, but to make AI an indispensable instrument in the teacher's hands.

Oressey is being built for institutions worldwide, engineered to work within any national education system it enters and to prove its outcomes against globally recognised standards. Wherever there are institutions that teach English, Oressey is being built to serve them.

A complete platform for English. Engineered for the institution.

Oressey is not a localisation of a global EdTech product. It is a comprehensive AI-powered English language proficiency platform, engineered from first principles around the diversity of English learning needs students bring into the classroom, and built to operate at the rhythm, the scale, and the institutional standards a serious school system demands.

01
AI Across the Spectrum

The full English language ecosystem.

From advanced mastery for students already operating in English across other subjects, to dedicated support for those for whom English is acquired within the classroom itself. Oressey is engineered to develop the whole proficiency ecosystem under one AI-powered platform.

02
Engineered for the System

Built around the classrooms it serves.

National curriculum standards, the teaching context, the operating cadence of primary and secondary education. Oressey is shaped to the systems it serves rather than asking the system to bend toward it. Each institution is approached on its own curricular and operational terms.

03
Institutional-Grade

For schools, not just for screens.

Oressey is built for institutional deployment: teacher-confirmable, evidence-generating, and operationally credible at the scale a serious school system demands. Schools, ministries, academies, and university foundation programmes.

Built for the learner who didn't grow up speaking English. Engineered to be indispensable for the teacher who does.

Students in a classroom, the non-native learners Oressey is built around
i.

For the non-native learner.

Most of the world's English learners do not speak English at home. They meet English first in the classroom, and almost everything that follows (confidence, fluency, the gap between classroom English and the English the world expects) is shaped by what happens there.

Oressey is engineered around this learner. The interference patterns of a mother-tongue elsewhere, the limits of textbook input, the asymmetries between reading and speaking, the long climb from comprehension to mastery. These are not the platform's edge cases. They are the centre of its design.

A teacher at the blackboard, the work the platform is built to amplify
ii.

For the English teacher.

Oressey is engineered to make the teacher more effective, not less essential. The AI in the platform is built to work for the teacher, augmenting diagnosis, differentiation, marking, and the evidence-building that has always belonged to the classroom, and giving back what classrooms have always lacked: the time to teach.

AI in the teacher's hands. Not over their shoulder. The teacher remains the centre of gravity in the Oressey classroom; the platform is engineered to be the instrument they would not want to teach without.

English language proficiency is not a luxury skill for a few. It is a national capability for the many. Oressey is being built to deliver it, classroom by classroom, country by country.

Oressey for Malaysia.

Malaysia has set one of the most explicit, CEFR-aligned English proficiency frameworks anywhere. The Ministry of Education has defined stage-target proficiency levels, the Pentaksiran Bilik Darjah (PBD) assessment framework, and the DELIMa ecosystem with a precision few systems can match. Oressey is built to work within all of it.

Students in a Malaysian classroom

What has been missing is platform-grade infrastructure built around those frameworks rather than around generic global product features. Not another engagement app. Not generic generative AI. Oressey treats every student interaction as evidence and every teacher action as leverage, serving the government school system and the private institutions teaching English alongside it.
